Reed & Reed selected for Kibby Wind Power Project

Reed & Reed has been selected by TransCanada to provide pre-construction services for the 132 megawatt (mw) Kibby Wind Power project in northern Franklin County, Maine. On March 5, 2008 Maine’s Land Use Regulation Commission approved the zoning change and preliminary development plan for TransCanada’s Kibby Wind Power project. Subject to final permits and approvals, construction of the project could begin in 2008.

Reed & Reed completed the Mars Hill Wind Farm in 2007 and is currently building Stetson Mountain Wind Farm (38 Turbines) in Danforth, Maine and Lempster Wind Farm (12 turbines) in New Hampshire.  With the Kibby Wind Power project, Maine will have more than 225 mw of clean, renewable energy, enough to power more than 100,000 households.  Reed & Reed is proud to have such a key role in all of these projects.
