Our link to the sea goes back to
founder Captain Josiah Winship Reed and continues today
in this tradition. Recognizing our need to diversify
and to compete on all heavy construction projects in
our area, Reed & Reed has geared up to perform all
types of marine construction – including dredging,
outfalls, piers, bulkheads, and terminals. We have the
tugs, barges and cranes required to get work done in
what can be a challenging marine environment.
Our experienced management, supervision, and crews
– along with our specialized equipment –
has what it takes to successfully complete major marine
projects. Our experience ranges from outfall lines 3000
lineal feet out into the ocean, to piers in Portland
and Searsport that handle ocean-going ships with container
and bulk cargo, to ledge excavation in 45 feet of water. Here are some recent examples of our marine work. |
