Reed & Reed Erects 100th Wind Turbine |

| Danforth, Maine---The contractor that has erected windmills across New England has reached a big milestone.
In frigid northern Maine temperatures, Reed & Reed put up its 100th wind turbine on December 18, 2009. Reed & Reed crews hoisted the 1.5 mw WTG at its Stetson II wind power site, north of the Stetson I wind farm which the company built and brought on line in January, 2009.
The Woolwich-based heavy construction company erected its first 99 turbines in Mars Hill, Stetson, Kibby Mountain and Freedom, Maine; and also in Berkshire, Mass. As the region’s leading wind power services company, President & CEO Jackson Parker said “I am extremely proud of our team and the way they have embraced wind power work. Our crews focus on safety, quality and performance and it really shows in how we have become an industry leader in wind power.” |
